Junction 2 announces Virtual Festival with Nina Kraviz, Kevin Saunderson, K-Hand, Richie Hawtin & more
The London based festival has unveiled a comprehensive programme which will include dj sets, live performances and talks all streamed live across the course of this weekend on the 11th and 12th of July.
The festival was originally sadly cancelled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as such the virtual event offers an alternative to dancers and ravers who would have attended the event at Boston Manor Park last month. The virtual event is entirely non for profit and will also strive to raise money to support Black Lives Matter as its nominated charitable partner.
Guests on the weekend include a powerhouse of names from across the spectrum of the dance and electronic music community with sets coming thick and fast from the likes of Moodymann, Maya Jane Coles, Carl Craig, Anastasia Kristensen, Kyle Hall and many more.
A particular focus has been placed on talks and panels also. A number are scheduled as described by the festival as follows:
“The ‘Speaker’s Corner’ will include a panel with Carl Craig, Derrick Carter, Seth Troxler and DJ Holographic in-conversation discussing the African American roots of electronic music and awareness of equality in the industry; a conversation with Sama’, Sarouna, DJ Dar and Darbak exploring the growing electronic community in Palestine and the power of dance music as a unifying force; and a discussion on the future diversity of London’s electronic music industry.”
