Italian festival ROBOT announces 15th anniversary edition

The acclaimed music and digital arts festival will take place with an opening on the 27th of September and then between the 10th and 13th of October  – with the first names announced for the upcoming edition.

ROBOT will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year and have announced some of the names set to join them to celebrate.

On the 27th of September the opening event will play host to some of the most innovative and diverse names in electronic music with the likes of Lyra Pramuk, Daniela Pes, Marie Davidson, Evissimax, Richie Hawtin all set to perform.

Taking place in Bologna the festival has become symbolic of forward thinking music in Italy, focussed on spotlighting leftfield electronic music alongside big names in unique spaces in the city.

 

ROBOT has become a staple for a passionate and diverse community, drawing guests to both historical and new spaces in the city including Palazzo Re Enzo, Palazzo d’Accursio, Fiera di Bologna, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Link Club, DumBO, Museo della Musica, Cassero, TPO, Accademia delle Belle Arti, Oratorio San Filippo Neri, Teatro San Leonardo, and more.

Having been in operation since 2008 the festival has played host to key names such as Alessandro Cortini, Avalon Emerson, Ryūichi Sakamoto, Alva Noto, Caterina Barbieri, Ben Frost, Holly Herndon, James Blake, Jon Hopkins, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Floating Points.
