The much loved Manchester party series is set for a spectacular return.

With summer coming to a close it’s time to begin thinking about the return of the club. Dark rooms and lofty warehouses are calling and soon we will kick off the Autumn season when venues around the country really spring to life.

Perhaps none more so than Manchester’s longstanding The Warehouse Project. Based out of Depot Mayfield the pivotal rave series remains as committed to showcasing a diverse breadth of music and artists across its expansive halls and industrial core.

This year regular parties will return from the 15th of September with the likes of Bicep, Honey Dijon, Overmono, Sherelle, Moderat and Joy O all set to appear alongside a plethora of others in what makes for a wild programme.

In preparation for the return of the series we spotlighted a few artists we look forward to catching and where you might find them…

LTJ Bukem

After catching his set at Glastonbury we were reminded by just how truly influential Bukem remains as an artist. Having released some of the best in Jungle and Liquid Drum n Bass he remains as pivotal and forward thinking behind the turntables. Expect a fast pace with delicate moments of euphoric self reflection dotted throughout – this one might be for the heads from the outlook but we guarantee he’ll manage to take the whole room along for the ride. A real Dj’s Dj.

  • Wallace

The mischievous Scottish dancefloor sensation. Whilst not one to get too gassed off his own hype it must be hard considering DJ’s left right and centre have been banging his records all summer long. A consistent string of releases, some self released and others via the likes of Studio Barnhus and Rhythm Section have cemented him as a serious club destroyer. Big energy, deep grooves and good times guaranteed.

  • Tarzsa

A few years ago, back when times were strange and lockdown measures were in full swing we met Tarzsa. The Manchester DJ has grown from strength to strength since we watched her play in the rain to a sit down brunch crew. She’s since gone on to grace festivals and the likes of DC10. As a DJ she is one of the best we’ve watched in recent years, drawing for off piste Hip Hop and RnB alongside funky soulful House. It’s a killer combination and the way she moves between styles and genres is a joy to watch. Plus she’s homegrown and fully deserves the big time of WHP.

  • Club Fitness

Another DJ to keep a close eye on. Originally from Toronto but now based in the UK, Club Fitness has caught the attention with clever selections and energetic sets which can be as aptly timed and smart as they are pumping. As a resident at London’s Corsica Studios she has become incredibly well rounded and knows how to read a room.

  • Biig Piig

Melancholy, leftfield Pop music at its very best. A refreshing and delicately poised booking sees the Irish singer bring her own brand of bubblegum music to the party. The sort of music which sounds better with a good gang of friends. Sing a long at the ready..

  • Anish Kumar

Unapologetic, sun kissed, soulful House music for the happy go lucky. Anish Kumar has risen through the ranks quickly having released a string of successful dance hits which have been soundtracking festivals all summer long. Eye catching sets which blur styles, influences and genres have made him intriguing to watch as a DJ and we can guarantee he’ll bring the party.
