Hyperdub to celebrate 20 years at Corsica Studios

The pioneering record label responsible for spearheading underground electronic music in the UK will celebrate twenty years of operations with a special party at Corsica Studios.

Corsica Studios will play host to 20 Years Of Hyperdub with Kode9 and Lawrence Lek on the 11th of October. The prolific record label and former webzine will celebrate its continued existence two decades on from its formation with a special two room takeover showcasing the legacy and evolution of the imprint.

In room one Kode9 will take on a mammoth six hour set as he takes dancers through the lineage of the label – from the origins of dubstep to the deconstructed bass echoing throughout the UK of the present.

Hyperdub has released some of the most innovative records in UK dance music since its formation and has been a home to the likes of Burial, Darkstar, Cooly G, Scratcha DVA, Ikonika, Laurel Halo, Loraine James and many others. Originating from South East London and founded by Kode9 the imprint has since reached all corners of the world, uniting artists in the direction of future thinking sounds.

In room two long time artistic collaborator Lawrence Lek will his celebrate his recent Frieze Artist of the Year award with an all night screening of his Sinofuturist Trilogy of films.
