Beat n’ Trail Charity Fundraiser
BEAT N TRAIL CHARITY FUNDRAISER
with Gilles Peterson, Dark Sky, Tayo and more…
Beat n Trail and Dimensions Festival pull in an all-star line up to raise funds for an epic cycle ride.
On the 17th August, cycle paths, alpine hills, country lanes and city back streets all lead to Dance Tunnel in Dalston, for a fundraising event with an underground and soulful edge.
The Beat n Trail team will be cycling over 1000 miles from London to Dimensions Festival, Croatia, for two charities (The Steve Reid Foundation and The Back Up Trust). They have called on some of Londons finest selectors to provide the vibe for an evening of straight up, no frills, sweet sounding music.
Internationally renowned tastemaker Gilles Peterson heads the bill, sewing up the heritage/future dynamic with inimitable style. Pioneering DJ and founder of the legendary Tracksuit Party, Tayo will also be manning the decks alongside heavyweights Dark Sky. Their EP Mister Saturday Night has been tearing up discerning dancefloors the world over since its release in May this year. Next up, Dimensions own Andy Lemay (Somethinksounds) and David Martin will warm things up nicely with a special back2back session. A very special guest is also lined up; renowned for digging deeper than your average DJ and flipping scripts the world over, as part of the Eglo fraternity this is not one to miss. Representing Beat n Trail, Morgan (Brownswood) and Sanders will get the night rolling with a potent mix of hip hop, boogie, African jams and 4/4 goodness.
