A night in Space. A party to celebrate the life of Kenny Hawkes
His friends bring back his seminal house club Space in tribute and to raise funds for his loved ones.
In 1995 Kenny Hawkes and Luke Solomon formed the night “Space” at a club called Bar Rumba in central London.
Over the 7 years that it existed, it hosted some of the greatest DJ’s of it’s era. Some of whom were lesser known at the time but have gone on to become household names.
Kenny was the driving force of the club, and with his enthusiasm and dedication he helped create atmosphere both with fellow DJs and dedicated Space attendees. The club was not only a place where you could hear music you couldn’t hear anywhere else, it was also a catalyst for life long friendships.
In the spirit of Space and Kenny Hawkes, we intend to celebrate that once more…
Join us as we gather together with Kenny’s friends to celebrate Kenny’s life and his effect on the people lucky enough to have known him either personally or through his music.
A dance music legend whose friendship, good humour and beaming smile touched the lives of so many people in such a positive way, we’ll sorely miss you Kenny.
The party will kick off at 6.30pm for those wishing to come straight from work and will run until 3.30am
Advance tickets 6 from https://www.ticketweb.co.uk/user/?region=gb_london&query=detail&event=456415
