MAO have relatively little under their belts – but the one EP and a clutch of remixes and collaborations they have knocked together in the last year have been enough for the anonymous Brighton based duo to give the hype pot a bloody big stir. Plaudits have been flying in from Pangea, Oneman and Untold, and a look at the MAO soundcloud revels a bunch of 5-figure plays. Their latest, 'Ways of Seeing' tells you all you need to know – it's got Tracey Duodu's smokey, little girl lost vocals, a rock solid bed of bass, and a beat that flitters between glitching, off kilter percussion, warm, decidedly lovely melodies, and occasional glimpses of synthetic euphoria. The track is set for release on June 2nd through the duo's own Uschii label. Stream below.
