akai to release analogue drum machine
Akai are following Roland and Korg back into the world of analogue hardware with the announcement of a new analogue drum machine called the ‘Rhythm Wolf’.
With a minimal drum set consisting of Kick, Snare and open/closed hats complimented by an onboard bass sequencer and ‘metallic percussion’ – the unit sounds almost capable of standing alone.
It also boasts a gate trigger, for syncing up to old drum machines and other hardware so should slot in to an older hardware setup with minimal fuss.
Akai also released new versions of their APC and MPK controllers as well as well as a new hardware sampler – the MPX16.
