bfi London film festival
The 57th BFI film festival is in full swing, with 235 feature films and 134 short films from 57 countries being shown over the next fortnight at venues across London. The bulk of the films are broken down into the themes of: Love, Debate, Dare, Laugh, Thrill, Cult, Journey, Sonic and Family and, this year, the short film programme is also incorprorated within these themes. There is a load of additional events and goings-on to compliment the screenings, with workshops, talks and special strands such as the Discover Arab Cinema adding to a weighty programme that’ll keep even the most vehement London film buff happy.
