Next week at DocHouse
DocHouse is continuing its unique year-round festival, showcasing documentaries in cinemas across greater London. Building a wider audience for documentary in the cinema, DocHouse brings world-class international docs with special guests and panel discussions to the big screen.
Next week at DocHouse is one of emotive films and inspiring people as they screen two widely-acclaimed documentaries, and host exclusive Q&As with some of the filmmakers and protagonists involved.
The evening of Wednesday 19th June will see the screening of the captivating Beatrice Mtetwa And The Rule Of Law at The Lexi Cinema. The film tells the story of an extraordinary Zimbabwean human rights lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa, who for decades has defended peace activists, journalists, opposition candidates, farmers, and ordinary citizens jailed by the Mugabe government.
Following the film will there will also be a Q&A session with both the films director and Beatrice Mtetwa herself
Two days later on Friday 21st June DocHouse will be joining the fantastic Open City Docs Fest, taking place at Bloomsbury Theatre, to present the award-winning documentary I Am Breathing as part of Motor Neurone Disease Global Awareness Day. The film documents the final days of Neil Platts life as he battles with motor neurone disease, while trying to decide what kind of legacy to leave behind for his one-year-old son.
