Boomtown Festival

This years Boomtown is looking weighty, not just doubling in size but in imagination too. Straying away from its previous ‘family festival’ status, the festival will be split into 12 distinct zones – including 4 brand new ones! 

These new additions include the world renownedBassline Circushosting the likes ofForeign Beggars, Feed Me and Black Sun Empirean area no doubt where mischief will reside. In contrast to this isMayfair Avenue, is of a more elegant and upmarket nature with a casino, a gentlemans club and daily roller discos and similarly Old Town offers a near time-travel experience to the 1950′s, with old skool disco’s blaring out nostalgic music leaving the festivite’s partying how their grandparents once did!

And of course the familiar faithfuls…The Town CentrewhereGogol Bordello, Bad Manners and The Selectercan be found;The Lions DenshowcasingBarrington Levy, Capleton, and Gentlemans Dub Club among others; Elsewhere, festivites are offered an all-round sensory experience with a fairground ghost train, ska bands, circus skills and the seedy undercarriage of the final new addition, Down Town…And of course, faithful to its family roots Boomtown brings Kidz town to the offerings with pizza-making, zorbing and a giant inflatable slide it might not just be the Kids you find in this zone.

The festival runs from 11th – 14th August and promises to take anybody in attendance far, far away from reality with this very unique take on festivality – designing a whole city within which to truly immerse oneself.
