Froid Dub announces new album ‘Tears Maker Chant’ on Ransom Note Records

The six-track EP, available on vinyl and digital formats, finds Parisian duo Stéphane and François—better known as Froid Dub—pushing their signature sound further into the liminal space between dubwise electronics and laid-back experimentation. Released via Ransom Note Records, this marks a debut collaboration for the duo, who also helm the most excellent Delodio label.

“low-slung mood music” that nods to Italo disco while staying firmly rooted in Froid Dub’s chugging, dubbed-out aesthetic ripped-back, bass-heavy minimalism—a masterclass in doing more with less.

With artwork by Sylvia Tournerie and mastering by Krikor Kouchian, *Tears Maker Chant* is set to drop on May 16, 2025, as R$N50—a fitting milestone for both Froid Dub and Ransom Note Records.
