ADONIS launch label with EP from residents Nyra and Wilson Phoenix
Cult London queer party ADONIS have announced the launch of their eponymous label as a space to showcase music from their residents.
The inaugural release comes from Nyra and Wilson Phoenix and channels the sounds you’d expect to hear in both rooms at the infamous party, which recently ended its four-year residency at The Cause.
The split EP sees Nyra taking care of the A-Side with two uplifting main room house tracks: ‘Used To Love Me’, a deep, sexy vocal house cut that’s streaming now and ‘Visions’, a peak-time anthem drawing from electro and Italo.
On the flip, Wilson Phoenix, honours the darker Adonis sound. ‘Dash Und’ ups the tempo, bringing euphoric, throbbing rave and acid sounds, while ‘K-12’ closes the record out with a sweaty techno stomper.
To celebrate the release, ADONIS throw a launch party at Phonica Records which is being live-streamed from 7pm today (24/02/2022).
Listen to the first single ‘Used To Love Me’.
ADONIS 001 will be released on vinyl and digital on 25th February.
