Two Nottingham heads join forces on Trouble Maker.

Darkness drew in early, throwing the city into quiet chaos. The air now ripe with winter’s chill forced people indoors, while those who were brave enough huddled together on the streets for warmth, sipping cold beers and whispering excitedly. Their mood felt at odds with the weather; it was a sliver of sunshine in the shadows. A much needed injection of joy amongst the gloom.

Trouble Maker’s newest release is something of a family affair. Longtime pals of label boss Adam Curtain, Nottingham stalwart Lukas Wigflex and “The Wizard” Tom Smith AKA Son Of Philip join forces for ‘Me & Meds’, a project that has been two years in the making. Their second release, following their debut on Lukas’ label, in signature Wigflex style the three tracks bring a dose of wonk, tripping through warped basslines, euphoric slow burners and gritty analogue techno, laced with commanding vocals from Notts head Des Hagenasty.
