New festival ‘Dialled In’ celebrates South Asian artists and culture
Dialled In is a new day and night festival, taking place on 11th September, brought to you by the teams behind Daytimers, No ID and Chalo.
Located at Uplands Business Park in North East London, it will be a celebration of the growth of the South Asian creative community, bringing together artists from across the UK and further afield to play at the 1000 cap event.
The first wave of the line up has been revealed and includes the likes of Nabihah Iqbal, Auntie Flo, Chippy Nonstop, anu, NAINA, DEBONAIR, Manara to name but a few, as well as members of the teams behind the event like Ahadadream, Provhat Rahman, Riva and more.
With the support of Waltham Forest Council, alongside the event, across three months (between August and October) Dialled In will run a mentorship programme and roundtable discussions, as well as screen a documentary and release a run of merchandise.
Separately Chloe, Daytimers and No ID have become leaders in platforming contemporary South Asian creatives, from music and events to art and activism. Individually and collectively their work aims to showcase the breadth of work from South Asian artists as well as inspire younger creatives to enter the industry, paving the way for the next generation.
