Citizen Maze: The ‘Wednesday Alternative’ Mix

Adam McCoy is a musician and dj based in Melbourne, Australia. To some he might perhaps be better known as Citizen Maze, a producer who has developed a following for his abstract, ethereal take on ambient, house and techno.

His two releases on Analogue Attic were critically acclaimed for their wise, deep and pensive approach to the genre. They cemented him as a producer operating at a level very much beyond his years. 

When he approached us and asked if he could contribute a mix to our series we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, we knew it might be dreamy, we knew it would be dubbed out. However, it’s wholeheartedly interesting and refreshing to see an artist deliver a mix showcasing a different side to their own musical interests.

This time Adam digs deep for obscure IDM, Drum n Bass and focusses on setting a mood.
