Daytimers & Stamp The Wax announce all-South Asian artist compilation for COVID relief in India

In an effort to raise much-needed funds for charities in India provising Covid relief, UK collective Daytimers have teamed up with Stamp The Wax to release ‘DT002’, a compilation featuring artists of South Asian heritage.

Released in full on Friday 18th June, the 14-track compilation rallies together 15 acclaimed and up-and-coming artists, including Kindness, Manara, Pooja B, Suchi, Nikki Nair, Nahi Mitti and Ayesha, as well as members of the Daytimers crew, for a release that touches on ambient, bass, breaks, acid, techno and beyond.

Speaking about the compilation Daytimers said: “In the midst of the grave ongoing situation in India, the ability to bring together artists from the diaspora and the continent to contribute to the relief effort has been one of the many affirming moments for the collective.“

Profits will be distributed evenly between three trusted charities through Mumbai-based music and culture agency Wavlngth’s fundraiser: Hemkunt Foundation, Goonj and Citta India.

Formed during the first lockdown, Daytimers are a collective supporting South Asian artistry through events, streams, radio shows, releases and fundraisers, raising over £20,000 since their formation.
