Ziad Rahbani’s cult album from 1978 to be reissued
Wewantsounds have announced the reissue of a highly sought after cult record by Ziad Rahbani, “Bennesbeh Labokra…Chou?”. The album was first released exclusively in Lebanon in 1978 and paired Arabic music with Jazz, Bossa Nova and experimental influences. Ziad first released the record at the age of 22 with the record being hailed by collectors, dj’s and historians alike for it’s pairing of musical influences and styles from further afield.
Ziad originates from a highly musical family: his mother, the legendary Lebanese Diva Fairuz and his father, Assi Rahbani, was a renowned composer and part of one of the most famous Lebanese groups, The Rahbani Brothers.
The record has been highly sought after with few copies surfacing previously.
