Loraine James announces second album ‘Reflection’ for Hyperdub
Loraine James has announced her second album ‘Reflection’ for Hyperdub, written during the summer of 2020.
Like the title suggests, the album is an honest and turbulent expression of inner-space, and a commentary on “how the year felt for a young black queer woman and her acolytes, in a world that suddenly stopped moving.”
She’s joined across the release by several guests including regular collaborator Le3 bLACK, Xzavier Stone, Eden Samara, Iceboy Violet, Baths and Nova.
Unable to tour following the success of her first album for Hyperdub ‘For You And I’, she spent time in the studio, self-releasing, as well as sharing the acclaimed ‘Nothing’ EP for Hyperdub.
