96 Back announces trilogy of releases on Local Action
Sheffield-born producer 96 Back has announced a trio of releases on Local Action, with the first instalment ‘9696 Dream’ due for release on 16th March.
The 10-track cassette, made up of new material that plays continuously for 31-minutes, introduces an audio language that will connect all three releases, which climaxes with a full-length later this year.
Having already notched up releases with Hypercolour, Central Processing Unit and Happy Skull, 96 Back signed to Local Action in 2020 for his four-track EP, ‘Sugilite’, leading to collaborations with artists likes Skee Mask, Happa and Special Request, who included one of their tracks on his new DJ-Kicks Compilation.
With skills that belie his years, the 21-year old DJ and producer has UK rave history in his veins; he’s the son of legendary Sheffield promoter Matthew Swift and a protege of hometown hero Liam O’Shea AKA Loshea of No Bounds.
