Premiere: Timothy Clerkin – Hatred
Lies seemed to be the dish of the day, and they were generally always served up cold. The headlines remained the same, the catastrophic decisions seemingly endless, yet are we surprised? Selflessness isn’t a word that exists within their vocabulary, people have never come before profit…
Label boss Timothy Clerkin takes the reins for the next instalment from the Insult To Injury camp, returning with an EP that takes a good old snipe at the Tories, in substance, style and subtext. Aptly titled Hatred, the three original tracks – backed by a full throttle acid techno interpretation from False Witness – journey from an abrasive sonic assault on the titular track to euphoric breaks and acid injections, to the more reflective moments of closing track, ‘Little Island Syndrome’, laced with a Noam Chomsky sample.
