Robert Johnson celebrate 21 years with sprawling compilation
The German record label and club have announced the release of an expansive compilation which makes up a five part vinyl box set. Celebrating 21 years the release is described as a dedication to the late, great disc jockey and long time friend, Andrew Weatherall, who passed away earlier this year.
The compilation features music by a number of friends and family who have appeared at the club and on the label over the years and contains music by the likes of Roman Flugel, Perel, Red Axes, Secretsundaze, Axel Boman, Portable, Panthera Krause and many more.
Launched in 1999 the club remains one of the most crucial in electronic music, based in Frankfurt, a city with an interesting past as Roman Flugel describes, it has become a stalwart of the community and remains an integral part of underground dance music lineage in the country and across Europe.
