IXXF collaborates with Catnapp on video ahead of debut album
The mutant, abstract pop project IXXF has been garnering interest and intrigue as of late following recent collaborations with the likes of Moscow’s feminist protest punk rock and performance art group Pussy Riot.
Based in Berlin they have just announced their debut album which is forthcoming via the US based record label Deskpop later in the year.
Today marks the release of a new music video, a suitably glitchy, oddball pop affair in which the music draws upon elements of trap, idm and beyond. All paired with playful, bubblegum esque lyrics inspired by social media and a disconnected youth. It’s as much a social commentary on the nature of cyber culture as anything and shares similarities with the likes of that previously associated with glitch and PC music.
The video in and of itself see’s IXXF collaborate with Catnapp, a a live Act from Buenos Aires, Argentina who has previously worked alongside the likes of Modeselektor and has created music for Netflix series “Unorthodox”.

The self titled album is due out on November 26.
