Emma Warren releases Document Your Culture: a workbook to tell your own cultural stories

Journalist, editor and author Emma Warren has released Document Your Culture, a new instructional pamphlet as an addendum to last year’s critically-acclaimed Make Some Space: Tuning Into Total Refreshment Centre.

Building on the topics and ideas explored within the book and offering practical tips, Document Your Culture contains questions, observations  and a How To… guide to telling your own cultural story. This 36pp pamphlet is designed as a manual or workbook to help you to share stories about the spaces and communities you know and love – an incredibly important action to help us reshape and contribute to saving grassroots venues, basements, skateparks, co-ops and community centres in a post-Covid world.

The pamphlet disseminates and examines ideas collected during talks and workshops Emma Warren ran at spaces like south London shed, HMP Pentonville Prison and festivals, during the period between Make Some Space being released last spring and the lockdown beginning in March 2020.

Created during the early stages of lockdown, and edited as restrictions began to ease, the pamphlet advocates documenting and making space, safely, as preparation to rebuild and regenerate these places following the pandemic. 

The first 100 copies are numbered and signed and the audiobook comes with an exclusive Wonky Logic track titled Left On Mars.
