Japan’s Rainbow Disco Club have announced a 12-hour live streaming event that will take place this Saturday 18th April.

Dubbed "somewhere under the rainbow!", the event is an effort to replace the cancelled edition of the festival which was set to take place this weekend at Higashi-Izu Cross Country Course.

Filmed in advance at the festival's location to create a unique experience for the viewers, the stream will feature a line up of Japanese DJs with close ties to the festival including DJ Nobu, Soichi Terada, Kenji Takimi, Yoshinori Hayashi, Licaxxx, CYK, machìna, and Sisi.

On the streaming event, Rainbow Disco Club said: "the world is facing difficulties everyday because of the effect of Coronavirus, many clubs, parties and festivals have been forced to shut or cancel. In such circumstances, we asked ourselves many times, what can we do in the current landscape for the scene in our own way? That's why we decided to plan and make this event happen."

To view the stream – which runs from 12:00-24:00 JST – you will need to purchase a ticket for a small fee and once you purchase your electronic ticket, you will be able to watch the archived video for a week after.
