Teklife Records Announce New Album From Heavee

Teklife Records have just announced a new album from Heavee! The 8-track footwork record features collaborations with the likes of DJ Paypal and Gant-Man, as well as a previously unreleased track co-written with the late DJ Rashad in 2013.

In a departure from his usual creative process, Heavee focused on synthesizers and sonic experimentation, using these as the building blocks ahead of structure and rhythm. “I am a child of the last days of ghetto house culture as it shifted into juke/footwork", he explains. "That’s my roots and where I came from. However, on this record, I chose to stray away from vocal samples, to give myself room to grow in different areas.”
