8 Tracks: Of Hypnotic Music For Traveling With Piezo
Movement, voyage and expedition are pensive actions, circumstances and environments. As a result, the soundtrack to such experiences can become influential, inspirational and emotive by nature.
Piezo is an Italian based producer who spent time here in the United Kingdom, in Bristol to be precise. It was here that he drew upon the influence of dubstep and bassweight during the genre's evolution in the city. Now, back in Milan, the sound has stuck with him in both mind, body and soul. His latest release on Idle Hands is a nod of the head to days gone by and is not dissimilar from that of early Kowton, Peverlist and Shackleton records. We caught up with Luca Mucci as he cites the sounds of expedition.

The thing I love most about this tune is that it sounds like it’ll last forever: masterful use of timing and harmony here, with a clear nod to Harold Budd. Perfect for long trips, of course (by the way, if I’m not wrong this is getting a reissue soon!)
