Stream Kowton’s Debut Album On Livity Sound
Finally! After a series of 12"s and collaborations, Livity Sound co-founder Kowton has got around to releasing his debut album. 'Utility' is an intoxicating blend of stripped-down Detroit techno and the weighty Bristol sound, and is out this Friday 15th April.
Kowton has spoken about wanting to create an LP "that works on the floor but is nuanced enough to justify repeat listens and self-aware enough to sit properly as a complete album." Ah, the techno album holy grail… well, we're of the opinion that he's smashed it, but you can stream the record in its entirety below and judge for yourself!
The launch party for the record also takes place this Friday at Phonox, with Anthony Naples and label-mate Peverelist in support.
Utility is out 15 April on Livity Sound, with the launch party w/ Peverelist & Anthony Naples at Phonox that same night.
