Kraftwerk’s Karl Bartos To Re-Release ‘Lost’ Solo Album
Communication was the debut solo album from Kraftwerk's Karl Bartos. Originally released back in 2003, the album got somewhat lost amidst the publicity surrounding Kraftwerk's Tour de France come back that happened around Communication's release date. Since then it has remained out of print, and has at times been described as Bartos's 'lost album'.
Now Bartos has remastered the record and prepared it for it's first digital release – as you might expect from a producer responsible for some of electronic music's iconic moments, the album has plenty to recommend about it – a listen to Life below shows Bartok on prime, elegant synthetic form.
The re-release, due Feb 7th on the Trocadero label, comes with the previously un-included track Camera Obscura, which- according to the press release- 'sounds like it could have been a lost track from Kraftwerk’s Computer World era.' Woo!
More info is available on the Trocadero website
