A Vision in 3D
The BFI and Nintendo are launching a UK wide 3D film competition for the London Film Festival, supported by Ridley Scott.
The competition theme is 'British Summer 2012'.
Entries must be made on a nintendo 3Ds device, should be no more than 60 seconds long and must be submitted by September 2nd 2012.
The winner gets to re-shoot their submission with a professional film crew on location in London, together with mentoring from Asif Kapadia (director, Senna) and Stuart Warren-Hill (Holotronica / Hexstatic / Big Chill).
The final film will be premiered as part of the Nintendo Gala screening at the LFF in October.
Focused around the theme of ‘British Summer 2012’, the winning film will be premiered before the Nintendo Gala screening at the 56th BFI London Film Festival, which takes place from 10 – 21 October 2012.
The winner will be announced in early September and will then have the opportunity to shoot a new 3D short film, in collaboration with the two mentors and a professional crew, on location in London. The resulting film will be premiered before the Nintendo Gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival in October 2012.
The 3 runners-up will each receive a pair of tickets to the BFI London Film Festival and a BFI Membership for one year if they are over 18, or a one year subscription to Sight and Sound Magazine if they are under 18.
