Well worth a listen, we caught up with DrumTalk and asked him about punching Jeremy Clarkson and waking up to Pharoah Sanders.

Tell us one ‘Wildcard’ fact about yourself? 

I've been to the moon. Hated it.

Your newest Beatport chart includes Micachu & The Shapes and U.S. Girls. Who’s your favourite artist at the minute that we wouldn’t expect from you as a Crosstown Rebels artist?

Well, I'm not sure exactly what is expected of me as a Crosstown Rebels Artists but I have been listening to Orquestra Afro-Brasliera's 'Obaluaye' a lot recently. Strictly on Spotify, mind, since the one copy on Discogs at £1286.41 is more than I can afford.

What song do you choose to wake you up in the morning?

I like to ease way into the day so 'Morning Prayer' by Pharoah Sanders has always been a favourite. Try it yourself, you'll like it.

What’s your hangover routine?

Crying, mainly.

What food stuff do you spend the most money on?

Abalone.

If you had to punch one person from history in the face who would it be and why?

Jeremy Clarkson is a contendor. Not exactly a figure from history, but fingers crossed.

Mario Kart or Crash Team Racing?

Street Fighter 2.

Would you rather have jam jars for hands or have everything taste like tuna?

I'd go for the jam jars so I could continue to enjoy very good rum.

There's no single greatest anything in my opinion but they're definitely among the best for their unique contribution and consistency of output.

It’s the year 2017 and Putin’s just declared nuclear war because he thought it’d be a laugh. You have ten minutes, WHAT DO YOU DO?

What with modern nuclear bombs being thousands of times more powerful than the ones dropped on Horoshima and Nagasaki, it'll be curtains for all of us. So I'd shit myself and burst into flames, just like everybody else.

What’s your favourite dance move from throughout history?

The Mashed Potato Popcorn. Or The Monkey, of course.

And finally…when was the last time you sneezed so hard it hurt and have you now fully recovered?

About six months ago. Not quite.

Where was the mix recorded?

At the HQ.

What would be the ideal setting to listen to the mix?

In motion. Car or train. Urban setting.

What should we be wearing?

Good headphones and a fancy hat.

What would be your dream setting to record a mix – Location/system/format?

The HQ will do me fine.

Which track in the mix is your current favourite?

It's been out for a while already but the Glenn Astro remix of Max Graef's 'Bummse' is the business. It bumps like hell. They've got soul, those guys.

What’s your favourite recorded mix of all time?

Honestly couldn't say.

If you could go back to back with any DJ from throughout history, who would it be and why?

As above, I'm afraid.

What was your first DJ set up at home and what is it now?

Techinics 1200, possibly a tiny, shitty Gemini mixer, I honestly can't remember. Now it's the very same turntables with a Rane TTM 56 and Serato.

What’s more important, the track you start on or the track you end on?

I try to consider both but I'd say the opener is probably more important. It needs to set the scene and draw the listener in.

What were the first and last records you bought?

I'm afraid I really can't remember the first but Soul II Soul's 'Club Classics Vol.1'

If this mix was an edible thing, what would it taste like?

Like the Mexican meal I ate recently a Lolo's in San Francisco. Fresh, spicy, vibrant and varied.

If it was an animal what would it be?

An adolescent tiger.

One record in your collection that is impossible to mix into anything?

There's hundred's mate, hundreds.
