Far Out Return With Next Installment In ‘Brazilika’ Series
Far Out are pretty, well, out there – deep diggers with a penchant for the best in Brazilian, we've already highlighted their amazing work with the Amplificador Novissima Musica Brasileira compilation they put out earlier this year.
They're also responsible for a string of unusual pairings, established, revered musicians getting remixed by more current artists in slightly different fields – Henry Wu and Sean Khan, The Ipanemas and Paul White, Marcos Valle and Theo Parrish – cementing relationships across nations and time.
The next installment of their Brasilika 12" series (following the Parrish/Valle release) sees a from Sabrina Malheiros' 2011 LP get a remix from Ashley Beedle under his Afrikanz on Marz guise. The title track is given a chunky, fuzz-drenched, meandering rhodes bassline which drives it along, and is joined by a reverberating, cosmos-considering 'galactic flute' version, and an instrumental. Absolute Gilles Peterson food. Warm, upbeat, a bit sexy and near impossible not to dance to.
It's released on Friday 16th October and you can preorder it from their Bandcamp now.
