Corsica Studios To Launch Free Monday Cult Film Club
Throughout September Corsica Studios will be combining with promoters Cinema Jigoku to present a series of free Monday film screenings. The season's title – Night of the Living Dirt – should give you a fair idea what to expect; cult classics, shameless splatter and shonky special effects. The opening night takes place on September 7th and features Lethal Hunter, a "demented" Indonisian flick "featuring dangerous and death defying stunt work…hardcore aggro, a spitting electronic boogie soundtrack, nasty torture and martial arts leg work from the mighty Bill "Superfoot" Wallace." Splendid. The series curator DJ Lovely Jon will be on hand to talk about the film pre-screening, and Jigoku are also throwing in "a live audio and visual set… an intense sensory cut up experience exploring the obscure, dark and heavier sides of both film and music."
Lethal Hunter is followed by;
14/9 – A Rat in the Darkness
21/9 – Dirty Weekend
28/9 – The Killer is Not Alone
Doors open at 7pm and tickets are allocated on a first come first served basis – email the Corsica on info@corsicastudios.com to reserve a seat, and check out more info on the facebook event page.
