Premiere: Rekord 61- Sverh (Radio Slave F.Y.M. Remix 2)
Today we're showcasing Rekord 61’s first release of 2015 – the frankly strident ‘Sverh’ on the Russian's own Konstruktiv imprint, remixed by a guns-a-blazing Radio Slave. The remix is something quite different to what you might be expecting, with RS completely stripping out the kick drum to create a DJ tool taut with tension, claps and hats snapping sharp whip cracks. Sverh ends up sounding as much like a mutant strain of instrumental grime as it does a techno fire starter, and we can see this opening sets as well at Boxed as Berghain.
